Class Descriptions:
MOM'S MIXED MEDIA
Mondays beginning Sept. 8 - Ongoing and payable in 4 week sessions of $85
10-11:30 am
You asked for it!!! This is your opportunity to get a creative jumpstart on the week! We'll work with a myriad of materials (paints, textiles, polymer clays, metals, etc.) and learn design techiques for multilayered and embellished artwork. No experience necessary to get started! Our projects will also include seasonal celebrations, items you can make with your children, and ideas on developing a creative home environment. For the most complete experience, register for the entire set of classes.
ART JOURNEY for HOMESCHOOL
Tuesday or Wednesday classes beginning Sept. 8 for 14 weeks
1:00 - 2:30 pm
We will travel around the world for inspiration as we learn about the art, artists and techniques of various countries. Projects will range from painting to textiles to sculpture so we can build our artistic skills and enhance our creative output. Students will keep a 'Travel Journal' of cultural images and places to round out their learning.
SCULPTURE for KIDS
Wednesdays beginning Sept. 10 - Ongoing and payable in 4 week sessions of $75
4:00 - 5:15 pm
Go 3d!! Students will create in three dimensions using a variety of sculptural materials and techniques, including molding, carving, casting and assemblage. We will learn to work with a variety of materials - wood, clay, plaster, paper, recyclables and more. Messy, creative and rewarding!! For the most complete experience, register for the entire set of classes.
ANIMATION WORKSHOP
Veterans Day - Monday, Nov. 10 $65
10:00 am to 2:00 pm (Lunch provided)
Complete an animated short with original characters and sound!! We'll work on both group and individual projects to gain experience in traditional hand-drawn animation cels, stop-action animation, and filming techniques. Students will be emailed the completed movie. Open to both new and experienced students.
PAINTBOX CHALLENGE: WEARABLE ART
Mondays beginning Sept. 8 - Four (4 )week session $75

Throw out that fabric, fleece and fur! This challenge is all about clothing created using everyday materials, from decorative food wrappings to astroturf, your challenge is to make it a fashion statement! Parents, please join us at the end of our last class for a fashion show.
PAINTBOX CHALLENGE: INVENTIONS
Mondays beginning Oct. 6 - Four (4 )week session $75
5:15 - 6:15 pm
Be it mistake or magic, inventions make us tick! Get in on the wave of innovation, and solve our invention challenges! We'll create sample prototypes and prepare our patent diagrams . . . just in case.

How high can you build with a sheet of newspaper? What about straws? OK, we'll give you some tape, but the challenge of height, balance and design is all yours!
