DESCRIPTIONS of SPRING SCHEDULE CLASSES:
Art Around the Globe
Explore the world through hands-on, mixed media art projects of many culutures.
Spanish: Gift of Language
A fun & engaging language class for children ages 3-8.
Gift of Language uses flashcards to introduce children to the foreign language. Teachers introduce vocabulary and sentence structure when the flash cards are placed in sequence.
Students read and “speak” the visuals, create new sentences by moving the flash cards around by doing this they are developing fluency and proficiency in the target language.
We also use a set of activity books that ensure mastery of the core vocabulary and structure through practice exercises that progress in difficulty. With a set of games these flash cards are reinforced in a way that is fun and effective.
We supplement the learning experience with crafts, board games and projects that relate to the flashcards that are introduced in class.
Jedi Light Saber
Students learn the way of the Jedi as they train as "younglings". Play Jedi games, learn basic stances and footwork and short fight sequences to perform for each other in this class taught by Swordplay.

LEGO™ Pre-Engineering and Fundamentals
Create, Play, and Learn. Build a town, city, or star base with houses, buildings, pyramids, bridges, tunnels, towers, and more. Build motorized cars, trains, buses, and trucks; race them; crash them; repair them. Explore the many possibilities of LEGO® building systems while learning useful construction techniques.
Mixed Media: (can be taken as a parent/child class)
A mixed media class that emphasizes learning art skills and critical thinking through exploration, experimentation, and freedom to make creative choices. Drawing, painting, collage.
